Halcyon Software increases staff by 33% to support 57% growth in licence sales worldwide
Systems management software provider, Halcyon Software, has today announced half year results up by 57% in worldwide licence revenues. Halcyon writes specialist automation software for IBM midrange computers as well as Windows, AIX, UNIX, Linux and Netware platforms, supplying its products to corporate end users and IT outsourcing across the globe, both directly and through a network of international resellers and distributors.
Halcyon’s excellent half year figures follow on from its investment in opening a new subsidiary in Australia and extensive investment in the training and education of its distributor and reseller network during the previous year. As a result, Halcyon’s licence revenues have grown substantially in Australia, Singapore and the US, generated by the dynamic sales activity of its new resellers in each territory.
Headquartered in Peterborough, UK, Halcyon has followed a strategy of growth through channel by developing its worldwide distributor and reseller network in USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific territories. Halcyon’s clients range from large multi-national companies and corporate data centers to small and medium-sized businesses. All these organizations, as well as managed services and outsourcing companies, use Halcyon’s systems management tools to proactively manage and automate their IT operations
In the UK, the growth has been largely due to sales of security compliance automation software through an established partnership with SkyView Partners Inc, a specialist provider of compliance solutions and security remediation services, based in Seattle.
To support this growth in its international business, Halcyon has embarked on a vigorous recruitment drive, already increasing staff by 33% at its Peterborough headquarters. Lorraine Cousins, Managing Director of Halcyon says, “We invested heavily in our business during 2006/07, building a strong team to maximize product development and to better support our resellers and distributors. As a direct result, we’ve seen this substantial 57% increase in licence revenues in the first half of our financial year 2007/08.”
Cousins concludes “As we continue to expand our UK-based team, we now have a great support network in place, well trained and established international resellers and the bedrock to continue our growth into 2008 and well beyond.” |
