Hastings Direct use Halcyon's Monitor Suite to monitor their System i™ (iSeries™, AS/400™) Servers. The software is vital in ensuring that all servers and applications used by staff are functioning properly without any errors to ensure effective day-to-day business operations. A call center handling more than 3 million calls a year and a plan for extended opening hours for customers, means that maximum availability of their systems is a critical issue as well as effective and efficient management.
In addition to this Hastings Direct also have implemented Halcyon's Restricted Tasks Manager so IT Staff can schedule, submit to a job queue, any number of restricted state functions to be performed in a completely unattended environment. This has been essential for system backups and housekeeping tasks which can now be performed on a regular basis.
