NYK Logistics Choose Systems Operations Suite

NYK Logistics, the world's leading shipping company, has chosen Halcyon's Systems Operations Suite to manage their System i™ (iSeries™, AS/400™) servers and network. NYK has a high end-user base therefore needed to provide a more efficient service to their clients.

Their IT Support Team make full use of the software so that all their servers can be monitored from a central location with problems being identified and reported the instant they occur. Notification can be via mobile phone, PDA or Blackberry ® device, to a nominated email account or a by a message appearing on the "Halcyon Enterprise Console", (a GUI for overall centralized management).

This solution has given the IT team more time by reducing the number of manual tasks, has significantly reduced the risk of human error and unscheduled computer downtime, and has helped the IT department be more proactive.
