Halcyon Open Subsidiary Company in Australia & New Zealand

Halcyon Software, the UK systems management specialists, have announced the opening of a subsidiary company, Halcyon Software (Australia) Pty Ltd.
The new company will improve the management of its growing customer base and channel-partner network across Australia and New Zealand.
Halcyon Software (Australia) Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne, will take on full responsibility for sales and marketing activities as well as technical support for direct customers and channel for their System i™ (iSeries™, AS/400™) and Intel systems management software.
In addition, sales and support of SkyView Partners’ System i™ (iSeries™, AS/400™) Security and Compliance solutions will also be managed by the new Halcyon A/NZ operation.
Halcyon Software (Australia) Pty Ltd will be headed by Jeff Cornock who was previously General Manager of Integral Solutions, Halcyon's premier distributor for this market over the past three years.
Lorraine Cousins, Managing Director of Halcyon Software said, “We wish to build on the success we have already achieved in Australia and opening a Halcyon office was the next logical step for us. Customer feedback has proved that there is a definite need for software to provide a quick and easy way to manage more complex IT environments including remote systems and there are real opportunities for further expansion in this territory. I am delighted that Jeff Cornock has agreed to join the new company as CEO A/NZ. His specialist knowledge, his experience and his connections with IBM are valuable assets for the new company and our customers.”
All customer and reseller agreements have now been transferred from Integral Solutions to Halcyon Software (Australia) Pty Ltd.
Jeff Cornock said “We are looking forward to providing a more focussed service to our existing clients and channel network and we are excited about the opportunities to build the business under the Halcyon brand”.
Cornock continued, “Over the next few months we will be offering IT Managers a series of educational and informative seminars on how to manage all your systems more effectively but for far less cost”.
To launch the new company, Halcyon Software have announced preferential pricing for the A/NZ territory for a limited period. Customers who purchase any System i™ (iSeries™, AS/400™) suite will be entitled to a 15% discount on software license costs for orders placed and settled before the 31st October 2006.
The solutions attracting the extra discount are; Monitor Suite, Systems Operations Suite, High Availability Suite, OperationsCenter and the new Security Compliance & Monitoring Suite.
The offer also extends to the Intel systems management solution: Network Server Suite, when purchased in conjunction with any System i™ (iSeries™, AS/400™) suite.
