Halcyon Software are Novell Ready to go!

Halcyon Software announces that Network Server Suite is officially “Novell Ready”.

The Novell Ready Program is awarded to Independent Software Vendors to demonstrate that their solutions support Novell technologies. Halcyon’s Network Server Suite is ready to run with Novell Products and has the Ready Mark stamp of approval.

The Halcyon Network Server Suite monitors services running on Novell platforms such as email, firewall, dns and dhcp. The Software can instantly notify a network manager and administrators if there are any problems or issues. In fact all of the alerting options that are available to Windows® servers, are now available to Novell servers.

Obtaining the Novell ready accreditation is another step in ensuring that Network Server Suite has the kind of credentials that IT Professionals look for when choosing a reliable, systems management tool.“

Network Server Suite monitors critical servers, services and devices. The software enables network and server problems to be spotted by “intelligent monitoring” and notifies personnel by sending text messages to mobile phones, email addresses or to a central console. The constant monitoring by the software allows many problems to be dealt with automatically, so that major disruption to businesses or organisations is minimized.

The software already supports Windows®, Linux, Unix and AIX Platforms and last month achieved the IBM Server Proven accreditation.
